A big success for the second edition of the Italian Gaming Expo & Conference 2025 in Rome
Over 1,600 attendees from 16 countries to draw the sustainable future of Gaming
The second edition of the Italian Gaming Expo & Conference (Ige) , held on 9 - 10 April at the Salone delle Fontane in Rome, has concluded. An increasingly important event in the national and international landscape of public gaming, which this year saw the subject “The sustainable future of gaming” emerge as the central idea of an open, plural and constructive discussion.
The event attracted over 1,600 participants (20% on 2024), from 16 countries (Italy, Germany, Uk, France, Malta, United States, Canada, the Netherlands, Belgium, Romania, Bulgaria, Cyprus, Greece, Croatia, Czech Republic and Slovenia), demonstrating the international level and growing importance of the event, which thus confirms itself as a global platform for discussion and benchmarking.
More than 50 content sessions, including panels, keynotes, roundtables and workshops, animated the two days of work , involving representatives of institutions, industry, regulators, the academic world and other productive sectors. Ige thus confirmed itself as a privileged platform for discussion and in-depth analysis at a crucial time for the reform process of the sector.
There was also a strong institutional and political attendance, with important speeches by representatives of the Government, Parliament, regulatory bodies and public authorities, alongside major gaming brands and players from related sectors, demonstrating the cross-sectoral interest about the subject of sustainability.
One of the most awaited moments of the event was the gala evening of the Italian Gaming Awards (IGA) , which celebrated the excellence of the sector by rewarding the most innovative and responsible protagonists. The 2025 edition recorded 113 nominations presented by 69 companies, evaluated by a jury of 19 high-profile experts.
Alessio Crisantemi, President and co-founder of Gn Media , states: “ This second edition of Ige has marked tangible growth, both in terms of attendance and quality of the discussion. Among the most significant elements, the high-level institutional presence stands out: in addition to representatives of the Government, Parliament and the main regulatory authorities, we had the active participation of the Ministry of Agriculture, Food Sovereignty and Forestry (Masaf) and the Agenzia delle Dogane e dei Monopoli, also present with a dedicated stand in the exhibition area, for the first time in an event of this kind. Another crucial step was the discussion with Agcom on the guidelines for advertising in the sector, with a view to a possible review of the current bans. An important signal towards greater clarity and sustainability of the rules. We also proposed and created a unique moment of discussion about the reform of horse racing, bringing institutional representatives and the main players in the supply chain around the same table ”.
Simona Clarizio, Head of the Italian Gaming Expo & Conference , emphasizes: “ This 2025 edition was an edition of great maturity. We wanted to create an open space for strategic construction, where institutions, operators and innovators could discuss the future of the sector, offering an opportunity for coordinated discussion between politics and industry. Last but not least, we addressed innovative and decisive subjects for the future of the sector, such as the integration between gaming and artificial intelligence, with a view to responsible and clear technological development. The evaluation can only be a positive one: Ige represents a concrete platform, where public gaming is not only told, but also designed and built, becoming a must attend event for those who want to be a protagonist in gaming evolution ”.
